About Hippstr

Hippstr is the future for social networking. Not so long ago the team became un-satisfied with way social networks were run. Most social networks were closed platforms which today, in 2008 is not the way forward. They were difficult to use hence, they didn’t prosper a decent user experience.

When we begun to look at social networks and developing something that was above the rest we found it difficult to decide what to focus and direct our hard work and sincere attention to. After some research we soon discovered the problems and decided that a change was necessary and we, the team at Hippstr, were dedicated to this, and decided to bring social networking into the 21st century.

These were are set goals:

1. For Hippstr to be a social network aggregator.
2. For Hippstr to be available and optimised for as many platforms as possible.
3. For Hippstr to be an open platform.
4. For Hippstr to be easy to use.

We need to decide what were the most important. After many long hours we decided that the first two points were crucial. Instead of the user going from 5-15 different sites to see what their friends got up to last night we want to have everyone at ‘one destination’, where in one place they can see everything. The second was to have it open on as many platforms as possible, we wanted a site that lifted the restrictions off people’s shoulders that other social networks are ignoring. We decided that we were the future of social networking and that we were all about having everything at one destination.

The team are all dedicated to creating a site for you to use, to connect with your friends more easily and post pictures, videos and comments in half the time. We at hippstr believe that time is too precious to be wasted on going through three pages to post one comment and going to multiple different sites to view pictures or profiles or videos so we are combining it all to one easy to use open platform and are confident that a modification like this is for the good of social networking and we will have soon have a site that will prosper a decent user experience in the world of today unlike so many other social networks.
